So I just made my first cake pops!! Actually I think they are mini pops but they actually worked! Thanks to my neighbor for letting me borrow the neat cake ball maker! I tried to make Fi a tiny butterfly cake from a pic I found on Pinterest and I failed, it probably would have worked had I made a bigger cake to try it with lol so... now I know!!! I also made a birthday sash, I hope to use it every year and keep adding buttons to it, I think it would be a neat thing for her to look back on. I love coming up with my own new traditions! Well I better try to get to sleep, hubby is passed out on the couch already! Nighty night! oxoxoxox

New birthday tradition!
I've decided this year to try something new for birthdays, we will take 3 days to celebrate not just one!! I'm not doing a party every year, we will choose milestone years to throw parties, but I want to make her feel special for 3 days!
I started with a streamer decoration for her bedroom door and we bought her a soccer ball and a pack of temporary tattoos (girl loves tattoos lol) so Saturday we played a little soccer and she had me put a bunch of tattoos on her and I got a couple too lol because hey I'm just a big kid really!
Saturday we also worked on a project with our neighbor and her son for a Halloween decoration for our yards! Saturday night we had a very nice dinner with hubby's mother and we even fished a little!
Today (Sunday) she woke to a bracelet making kit so before breakfast we sat and made bracelets together (daddy had to work tho)
Tomorrow morning she will wake to a make your own bubble gum kit and I'm hoping daddy takes the lead on that one! After I post this I will be starting her birthday 'cake' this year. I put that in parentheses because I'm trying to make mini cake pops this year instead of cake. I will be posting about that to I'm sure lol I better get to it before I fall asleep in my chair!! oxoxoxox
Homemade Halloween decorations
The neighbor lady and I saw an idea on Pinterest and decided to we could do it ourselves! We used materials we had around our houses and hopefully the end product will be a fun decoration we can use for years to come!
